JSC Words of Wisdom #14: Find Your Stance…

PHILADELPHIA (JSC) — What’s Good Y’all. That’s right. #JSCWOW is back on its bullshit again and with this being the start of the baseball season, I decided to hit you guys off with a little motivational message with a baseball theme. This kinda hit me out of the blue when thinking about my current situation as well as that of a lot of people who are trying to find their way and their niche in their careers and even their lives.

GeorgeBrettI’ve always said that “Sports is a Metaphor for Life” and one of the best sports for that is baseball. When you think about how to go about making things happen for yourself, you don’t always have to do it the way everyone does it. You can take your own approach as long as it works for you. No better place to get an understanding of this than to simply take a look in the batter’s box in a given inning of any given game. Every guy that comes to the plate has a different batting stance — one that makes them feel comfortable. This post is about helping you to find your stance and get your comfort level.

Feel free to share this on your favorite social media outlet with the hashtag — #JSCWOW.

JSC Radio Ep. 59: The Kids In The Hall

PHILADELPHIA (JSC) —  Good evening everybody. The People’s Podcast is back as 2017 is mercifully coming to a close. It’s a mixed bag this week as we celebrate Detroit, but also hit an interesting postscript.

Adrienne Lawrence - June 7, 2016

As we talked about last week, For the last 2 months, it’s been an endless parade of men being outed as being the literal worst in all forms of business, industry, education, sports, and politics. I also noted that I’ve heard a multitude of stories from women I know in this business who have been harassed, propositioned, and even assaulted by men on their jobs. Well, one of those women came forward with her story this week.

Adrienne Lawrence, who appeared Episode 20 on in Oct. 2016, came forward with her story of the harassment and alleged retaliation she faced while at ESPN on Wednesday in the Boston Globe. Adrienne, who left from a lucrative career as an attorney to become one of the “Worldwide Leader’s” rising stars, alleges that SportsCenter anchor John Buccigross tried to turn their professional relationship personal and sent multiple shirtless selfies to her via text. Her spurning these advances seemed to coincide with her rapidly being slid down the totem pole and eventually out of Bristol. In an unexpected postscript to Episode 58, I address this in the first half of the show.

JSC Radio Ep. 54: Lone Star State of Mind

PHILADELPHIA (JSC) —  What Up Doe, people! The People’s Podcast rolls on and this week is all about the crowning of a new champion, the Houston Astros.

Baseball is a clear theme on this show, and while Game 7 of the World Series was a relative dud compared to the first six games (and all seven of last year’s), this year’s Fall Classic showed the world once again why Baseball will always be king.

Plus, the Lions are still the Lions and Detroit is still Detroit (thanks Cardi B).

Random Thoughts: Zimmerman Gets Shot, Brady Gets Popped, & Daniel Bryan is Out

♠ 3 Things That Are On My Mind ♠

The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.
— Albert Einstein
LAKEWOOD, N.J. (JSC) — It’s that time once again. It’s time for me to get some things off of my chest. I do this every so often and there are three things that I have to give a couple of thoughts on. The theme for this brain dump is all things bad. Whether it’s the bad karma that Tom Brady is carrying around right now, the horribly bad breaks that one of my favorite professional wrestler keeps running into, or the all around bad karma that one of the world’s worst people continues to have following him around after he got away with murder. As always, these are my opinions and mine alone. Any objections that you may have, you can take up with the Law Offices of Sit & Spin. No need to drag out this intro. Let’s Go.
